The Covid-19 virus affects our society in radical ways. To stop the contamination, we must reduce points of human touch, increase social distancing by avoiding queues and ensure a safe working environment for all staff keeping up services for everyday people. These facts hit physical spaces and stores hard in a situation where many already are under pressure to adapt to fast-changing consumer behavior and demands.
At these difficult times, we at ITAB want to reach out to all our customers. Don´t hesitate to contact us for a discussion of how we can handle this situation to make it more manageable for the consumers and your staff. We can help you create a safe enwironment using small means temporarily or permanently. We offer several solutions for queue management, ticketing and railing to keep social distance as well as protection solutions/shields between staff and customers. Small adjustments to make the situation easier to handle and to make sure people can shop necessities in a safe way.
To protect essential spaces, we have developed Plexiglas shields for pharmacies and grocery stores. These products act as a shield to contamination and increases the safety for cashiers and consumers. It’s important to us to make it as easy as possible to install and remove our solutions by the retailer in order to make the experience safer as soon as possible. No professional installation help is needed for most of our solutions.
Welcome to contact us at ITAB in your region for a discussion about your situation and what we can do to facilitate a safe and convenient shop despite the current challenges.
To keep social distance and limit the number of people in each store in a safe way, we together with Ombori and Microsoft have modified a queuing system to run on personal devices. With this solution, you don’t need to wait in an actual queue, you will be notified when it is your turn to enter the store so you can safely wait at distance. Contact your local ITAB representative for more information.
Many retailers experience a sharp drop in footfall or have deciced to temporarily close their stores to stop the spread of COVID. For most, this also imposes a need to review investment planning and prioritise differently then before the crisis.
Short term examples are to invest in staff and consumer protection, as plastic shield and ticketing solutions. Long term, the ongoing crisis willincrease the consumers focus on sustainability. We at ITAB can already see that the market moves in that direction. Sustainable shopping will be, now more the ever, the center of the retail business attention. That’s why it’s important we all think about how we can create more sustainable shops with less energy consumption, recycble materials and higher security for staff and consumers.
A lot of our customers already uses the decreased number of consumers to get ready for the recovery by increased investment in sustainable shopping. Examples are lighting projects, an exchange of old inefficient lighting to LED, to save 50% energy consumption. Another is to increase self checkout solutions in the stores to reduce virus spread in the future.
If you need help to discuss how to make your consumer experience and your service better/safer as well as your operations less costly we are here for you.
