The challenge

Wm Morrison Supermarkets plc, better known as Morrisons, is the fourth largest supermarket chain in the UK, with its head office in Bradford, West Yorkshire, UK. Founded in 1899, it has around 570 stores. Sales in 2015 were over GBP 16 billion.

Its objective was to improve customer flow and create a clear point of entry, while increasing security.

The solution

We installed Alphagate MKII entry and exit systems in all stores. The project team at Morrisons chose padded gate arms from our wide range of options.


The result

The automated gates have provided improved customer guidance and navigation, while providing a greater visual deterrent against shoplifting and increased security. 

Following the initial trials, our solution was rolled out to 235 stores over a period of eight months.
