The COVID-19 virus affects our society in radical ways. To stop the contamination, we must reduce points of human touch, increase social distancing by avoiding queues and ensure a safe working environment for all staff keeping up services for everyday people. These facts hit physical spaces and stores hard in a situation where many already are under pressure to adapt to fast-changing consumer behavior and demands.
A place that normally can be perceived as safe can now be a big threat to your customers. As an example, a queue, or when they meet the cashiers or staff.
If you want to reduce social interaction or queues, to invest in self-checkout can help. But don't forget to go through the whole picture before you do so. Let us explain why.
A checkout area built for your business and typical consumers can reduce your queues and give you a lot higher throughput. As an example, smaller self-checkouts are better if you have a lot of consumers with baskets in smaller sizes. If you have many consumers who do their weekly shopping in your store, with lots of items, a traditional solution gives you higher capacity.
A mix of different checkout solutions, suitable for your different customers, enables the highest throughput, and minimizes your queues.
The basic system consists of a metal arch with several nozzles placed inside it from which the sanitizer is sprayed. It has 2x60 L sanitizing tanks with a total autonomy of 2300 cycles (2300 trolleys), and it is connected to an electro-pump operated by a mechanical arm. 1 cycle takes approx. 3-4 “+ 4-5” for drying.
The trolley acts the arm that operates the electro pump and is sanitized by passing under the arch.
It can be used to sanitize a single trolley or the row of consecutive trolleys.
Do you have issues controlling social distance within your store, and staff unsafely occupied as a control function? To help, we have developed an Automated People Counting solution. This cloud-based interface gives your customers live updates via an easy pre-configured device.
When you have defined your total store capacity, your customers get visual, live information about the current availability presented on the digital device. The solution communicates with your customers both via visuals and sound, which enables your staff to control your consumer flow in a safe way.
Groceries, pharmacies, and other stores around the world need to keep operating throughout the global pandemic. Reducing the risk of infection both in stores and in queues outside stores by using social distancing is a major priority for them. Virtual Queues allows stores to control the number of people within the store and reduces the number of people waiting in line using a simple virtual queuing system.
To protect essential spaces, we have developed Plexiglas shields for pharmacies and grocery stores. These products act as a shield to contamination and increases the safety for cashiers and consumers. It’s important to us to make it as easy as possible to install and remove our solutions by the retailer in order to make the experience safer as soon as possible. No professional installation help is needed for most of our solutions.
