A partnership built on trust, delivered with precision

The recent opening of the renewed commercial zone at Vilnius Airport marks an important milestone in the ongoing transformation of the airport into a modern, passenger-focused travel hub.

As part of this development, the new Vilnius Heinemann Duty Free store operated by Gebr. Heinemann subsidiary Travel Retail Vilnius has become a central highlight of the upgraded “VNO Plaza” area – now the largest commercial travel retail space in the Baltics and a key element in enhancing the overall travel experience.

This project represents the continuation of a strong and trusted partnership with Gebr. Heinemann.

Building on previous collaborations, ITAB Baltic was entrusted with a full turnkey scope – including construction, interior solutions, lighting, custom furniture, and installation. This integrated approach ensured consistency across all elements of the store while enabling efficient execution within a complex airport environment.

Connected Retail Services

The operational conditions required seamless collaboration with multiple stakeholders, strict adherence to timelines, and the ability to deliver without disrupting airport operations. ITAB’s project management ensured transparent communication and steady progress across all phases, giving Gebr. Heinemann confidence that each detail would be delivered to the highest standards.

The result is a retail environment that reinforces Gebr. Heinemann’s global brand identity while responding to the unique context of Vilnius Airport. Custom furniture, integrated lighting, and durable materials create a premium, functional space that enhances passenger flow and product visibility. The flexible concept also allows the store to adapt to evolving retail needs and future brand developments.

This achievement clearly reflects strong teamwork.

Close collaboration with Gebr. Heinemann, Travel Retail Vilnius, partners, and other stakeholders was essential in navigating the complexity of the project and ensuring a successful outcome. Every aspect of the project was executed with precision and commitment, resulting in a store delivered on time and meeting the expectations of both the client and the airport operator.

We would like to extend our sincere congratulations to Gebr. Heinemann and Travel Retail Vilnius on the successful opening of this landmark store at Vilnius Airport. It is a strong addition to the region’s travel retail landscape and a clear step forward in enhancing the passenger experience.

Finally, this achievement would not have been possible without the dedication and professionalism of all teams involved.

From engineering and production to project management and on-site installation – their expertise, collaboration, and attention to detail are what make projects like this successful and continue to strengthen long-term partnerships built on trust.
