Supporting the evolution of Expert stores in Italy
ITAB is a key partner of Expert Italy, contributing to three distinct store concepts: the Expert Standard Store, Expert Link for proximity retail, and Expert In for convenience shopping.
A recent project includes the new Expert store at Maximall Shopping Mall in Pompeii, a major retail destination in Italy. It provides a seamless blend of modern design, innovative technology, and customer-centric functionality.
A contemporary store concept
The goal of the project was to create a space that, at first glance, conveyed accessible and intuitive technology. The client collaborated with our Solution Design team to develop an environment that was not only cutting-edge in terms of design and functionality but also enhanced the overall customer shopping experience.
- Interactive digital totems: The new Expert store features digital information totems with two-seater seating, designed to allow store personnel to assist customers in the most comfortable way possible. This innovative approach aims to improve the interaction between customers and sales associates, making the consultation process smoother and more efficient.
- Fully functional kitchen: A working kitchen with live appliances allows suppliers to host show cooking and events, turning the store into a dynamic and engaging space.
Innovation, design, and functionality
- Entrance gates: The brand-new SigmaGate 2 entrance gates, positioned at the store’s entrance, represent an evolution in access control, offering a combination of security, a seamless and frictionless customer experience, and modern design. The SigmaGate2 is designed to ensure a smooth and uninterrupted flow of customers, improving in-store traffic management and contributing to a more pleasant and secure shopping experience.
- Digital signage: The digital signage solutions with LED bars for interactive communication, lighting systems are designed to enhance product displays and ensure a comfortable atmosphere, as well as optimised storage spaces for effective inventory management.
A future-ready shopping experience
The store maintains the core Expert concept but is enriched with exclusive experiences and personalised service areas. It features bespoke interior design solutions, lighting, graphics and communication, along with decorations, displays and visual merchandising, as well as digital and retail tech solutions.
By prioritising both aesthetics and practicality, Expert creates an inviting and dynamic environment where customers can enjoy a smooth, interactive, and personalised shopping journey.
