Very little consideration is given to end of life for equipment, with new suppliers often tasked with disposing of old displays. Our ReSTORE program has been developed to avoid this landfill waste.

ITAB’s ReSTORE program seeks to increase the opportunity to repair, re-use or re-furnish existing equipment. This will enable you to extend the lifespan of the shelving that you have already paid for, returning them to a warranted ‘as new’ condition, saving you money and reducing your environmental impact.

Our process

Our basic service for ReSTORED shelving can save circa 35% against the cost of new shelving, reducing and removing waste, cost, time, and complexity. We offer 3 simple work streams, enabling ITAB to deliver sustainable solutions in refurbished GNFR equipment to you.

Strip out fixtures

We carefully remove any attached fixtures or components from the main structure or item in your store, preparing to return them to the ITAB facility.

Sort by part number

After disassembly, we sort shelving into separate parts using customer specific item codes to ensure efficient tracking and management during the process.

Sort by refurb, reuse & recycle

Each component is assessed for refurbishment or recycling suitability and sorted accordingly. Items unfit for reuse are directed towards recycling procedures to reclaim materials or components.

Strip back & clean

Components designated for refurbishment undergo a thorough cleaning process to remove any dirt, grime, or residues accumulated over time. This stripping back to the bare material or surface prepares the item for further treatment or restoration, ensuring a clean and polished appearance.

Restore & repair

Restoration and repair processes are carried out to address functional or structural issues. This process includes replacing worn-out parts, fixing structural damages, and addressing any aesthetic flaws. By meticulously restoring and repairing items, their lifespan is extended, contributing to sustainability and preserving their value.

The final stage in the refurbishment process, where the focus is on enhancing the appearance and durability of items. This involves applying protective coatings to safeguard against wear and tear. This ensures that the refurbished items are not only aesthetically pleasing but also resilient against future damage, ensuring their longevity and quality.

Once ready, your ‘new’ shelving is carefully packaged to protect them from damage during transportation, ensuring that the refurbished items maintain their quality and integrity until they reach their destination.

Stock & reuse

We log the ReSTORED shelving into stock in a designated, clearly delineated area and integrate it into store programme according to the client’s instructions.
