ICA Kvantum Danderyd in Sweden has recently completed a comprehensive renovation of its store, opting for ITABs solutions to elevate both security and the consumer experience.
With our new security gate, SigmaGate 2, and custom-designed checkout counters, the store has successfully created a modern environment for its customers.
The challenges were evident as ICA Kvantum Danderyd embarked on its renovation journey. Situated next to a subway entrance within a bustling shopping center, the store faced significant foot traffic and frequent small purchases, which posed challenges like unattended entrances and high theft risks.
To remain competitive with nearby stores, creating an inviting and secure entrance was crucial to attract consumers and ensure a safe and efficient shopping experience.
Innovative security solution and design
From the outset, ITAB introduced the new SigmaGate 2 security gate to store owner Per Vallenhag, who was immediately impressed by its aesthetics and functionality. “I’ve used Sigma gates in the past, and they have always been the most stylish option. When I heard about the updated version, I knew it was the right choice” says Per. ICA Kvantum Danderyd selected SigmaGate 2 featuring tall glass panels (900 High) to prevent items from being thrown over the unmonitored entrance. With patented breakout prevention technology, SigmaGate 2 provides a secure environment for both consumers and staff. ITAB also supplied three customized checkout counters and an exit gate to facilitate a seamless and efficient checkout process.
Improved efficiency and consumer satisfaction
ITAB has not only met but exceeded ICA Kvantum Danderyd’s expectations. “Establishing a completely new store is a major undertaking, requiring everything to align perfectly. SigmaGate 2 has significantly enhanced entrance security, crucial given the new store layout with unmanned entrances. The gates, which feature the store’s logo etched into the glass, also provide an inviting entrance that complements the overall store design.
In the checkout area, there are two traditional checkout counters and one CheckMate Z, and an AlphaGate with Scanmaster for exits. Together, these elements ensure a smooth and secure experience for both consumers and staff at checkout.
