New service opportunities and convenient choices for the modern consumer
The Grammercato Pharmacy in Jesi, central Italy, has expanded its premises to offer more space for services.
Dr. Governatori aimed to expand his pharmacy to streamline customer flows and provide a spacious, service-focused area. The ITAB solution design team faced the challenge of creating a layout that optimizes customer flow, reduces waiting times, and makes products and services more accessible.
Strategic positioning of products and services
The indoor layout was redesigned to create user-friendly pathways and areas dedicated to specific product categories. Notably, the section for customers with celiac disease was made more practical and easily recognizable. This area is highlighted by a grey entrance arch and display system, contrasting with the white used throughout the rest of the pharmacy. Additionally, solid and hollow square/rectangular false ceilings were employed to create imaginary boundary lines between different departments, allowing customers to quickly find what they need and discover new products along the way.
The importance of a service area in a pharmacy
Expanding a pharmacy involves more than just increasing physical space; it requires a strategic vision for the future of customer service. Recognizing the importance of offering a comprehensive range of services, Dr. Governatori tasked ITAB with designing a clearly visible, dedicated space that stands out from the rest of the pharmacy. This led to the creation of a ‘HEALTH POINT,’ which includes:
- A single-point booking centre, essential for facilitating access to health services and streamlining bureaucratic procedures for customers.
- Three multi-functional rooms designed for consultations, telemedicine services, prevention, and screening activities.
This expansion and focus on service areas is a winning strategy that meets the needs of modern customers, enhancing the pharmacy as a place of integrated health and continuous innovation
A turnkey service
ITAB provided the pharmacy with comprehensive support throughout the design, construction, and furnishing stages. The pharmacy benefited from a turnkey service, ensuring control over every phase of the project.
